A Couple of Cute Bunnies

These two bunnies never cease to amaze. They’re always zooming about and playing.

Lately, they’ve taken to the corners of their room beside the window. They moved one of their boxes to the corner of one side. On the other side, they have a little cat house that they love to move around!

It makes me so happy that they are so comfortable in their forever home! The other day, I came into their room to check on them. I found them like this. Sam was completely stretched out having a snooze, and Max was enjoying snacking on her hay.

Max absolutely loves the camera. Every time I get close to her for a picture, she comes up and boops the camera. She’s such a sweetie.

Sam loves to be close to his humans. The other day, I had to go run some errands. He just sat there by his toy truck and glared at me when I told him I was heading out for a while.

There’s nothing like a good nap after playing hard. These bunnies just love stretching out on their blanket and having a snooze!

Sam and Max – Adventures in Bunny Land

Our Holland Lops, Sam and Max, love to have adventures around their room.

Sam is very proud of himself. It took him days, but he and his sister managed to get this pop tart box over there from across the far end of the room. They both worked hard, shifting it behind the couch!

Some days, they like to get brave and explore the kitchen. But when they do that, they prefer to sit on somebody’s lap (because the floor is lava).

Sam decided once, that he was going to be brave and explore the kitchen on his own. That lasted maybe 5 minutes (which is great)!

Max loves her tunnels and anything she can hide in. We recently picked up a new cave for her to use along with her rainbow tunnel.

When she’s not busy exploring, they love the foraging box we made them. We used a leftover cup carrier, filled it with their hay and some treats, and let them at it.

Max couldn’t wait for me to finish up with their cage cleaning one day, and got into the box before it was put back. She had a great time sticking her head right in there!

For Sam, there’s really nothing quite like stories from his favourite little human. This photo is actually the result of him nudging at books on the shelf until she took one down and read to him.

He also enjoys snuggles with her.

After a busy day of exploring, there’s nothing quite like a good flop. Sam loves to use lower part of the coffee table as a chin rest. Max likes to stretch out.

Fort Adventures with Bunnies

Today my daughter decided to build a fort to do her schoolwork in. She brought all the blankets down, got the bottom all set up with blankets, pillows, and stuffies.

Sheets went over the couch and the rabbit cage.

Then they were draped over the other side of the couch, coffee table, and rocking chair.

Everything was all set, then she got a visitor. The best kind of visitor. One of the fur babies! Max decided that the fort was definitely made just for her. So, she explored and hopped around inside. After all, if it was made in “her” play space then it must be her fort, right?

After running around the living room and playing in the blanket fort, the bunnies were exhausted.

Time for a nap!

A Couple of Sweet Bunnies

Last year, we spent ages deciding whether or not to expand our family. Do we get a bunny? Do we just continue with our daughter’s hamster?

Then we found Sam and Max. A bonded pair of adorable Holland Lops.

There was no way these two weren’t destined to live with us. These two beautiful furballs have brought so much love with them.

They love running around the living room, which they have essentially claimed as their own.

One day we found Sam on the coffee table, digging into the pellet powder leftover from supper. We’re still not sure exactly how he got there, but he was sure proud of himself!

Max, of course, followed suit shortly after. It wasn’t long after Sam’s coffee table adventure that we found her also happily perched on the coffee table.

Both of these bunnies have quite a personality! Max doesn’t like when their cage gets cleaned. Mostly because that means she is going to spend several minutes fussing with her favourite blanket so that she can adjust it to where she wants. Sam on the other hand would much rather roam around the living room than worry about the blankets.
